      I am the girl on the left (My maiden name was Christine Hetschko) , walking with my girlfriends Betty McVay and Jean Jarden.
      The three of us met while working at the Woolworth Store downtown on Granville Street
      Jean and Betty were baking the cakes and cookies and I was baking the pies and apple
      dumplings. I worked there until I finished my course at the “Western School of Commerce” on Robson street, then I was hired by the great Lumber Company
      “MacMillan and Bloedel” and worked there until I retired.
