My aunt Ina Sawchuk (AKA Aino Kojola) (Apr. 24, 1917 – Jan. 18, 1990) and her 2nd husband William (Bill) Sawchuk (1900 – 1985). My aunt was born in a wooden shack 7 miles outside Rocky Mountain House, Alberta to Finnish immigrants who homesteaded land in Alberta. Whereas, Bill was sent to Canada at age 12 from the Ukraine by his parents so he could have a better life. He did, and wound up owning hotels in Vancouver: the Old Astoria Hotel, the West Hotel and the Patricia Hotel which he sold in 1972.

Hi, I came across this photo when I was doing some ancestry research. I think Ina is a relative of mine on the Kojola side of the family. If you have anymore information I would like to chat with you.
