Downtown with my friend, Teddy Kuster. My first job was working at Teletones Wired Music. They had jukeboxes in the cafes. A person would put a nickel in and a light would come on for us over in the Vancouver Block. We’d say “thank you. Number please?” They’d tell us the number, then we’d go and get the record and put it on the turntable. The sound would go to the restaurant. I worked there when I was 18 and I’m now 89 so that was in 1941.

WOW! I’ve never heard of that type of a music system. Thank you.

Never heard of that either. Sounds like a fun job!
