I came directly to Vancouver Dec. 1956 from Germany by ship and CPR. At age 21.
Lived in Immigration Bldg. for 6 weeks. After 2 days got job at Townline Sportswear. Seen Foncie all the time while walking with my brother. Had quite a few pictures taken by Foncie through the years, but this is the only one I can find right now. Living on Haida Gwaii (Queen Charlotte Islands) for 51 years.
I am so glad you people are doing this. What an honour for Foncie and his family and what a memento for the beautiful city of Vancouver. (and it makes me feel happy to think of those times!!)
