This is my mother and me shopping. I’m 14 and I’m wearing a hand-me-down coat. My mom put the fur collar on – I thought it was wonderful. They didn’t give you bags in those days, there didn’t seem to be many paper bags around. They wrapped our purchases in boxes and paper all tied up with string.
