Roy Brainerd  —  in 1945 I was 17 years old

I lived at our family home 3026 Harwood St, Burnaby with mother Violet, father Lawrence, older brother Ernest Moss, older sister Vera Moss, and younger sister Patricia Brainerd.  I was born March 2, 1928 and brought up in the Burnaby home.  On April 1, 1943 (15 years old)  I started working for Snap-on Tools of Canada Ltd.  1209-1211 Granville St, Vanc.(retired 41 years later), and used to walk down Granville and along Hastings St. many times, usually on Saturday afternoon, as I worked 4 hours Saturday morning.  I would take the Burnaby Lake Line interurban from Carrall & Hastings  Street station to Douglas Road station in Burnaby.
