My future husband Ernie and I were out with our friends. We had just been to a curling game. Tommy has a curling sweater on, and he had my green cap on. We were heading downtown for something to eat. This would have been around where the Castle Hotel was on Granville, just down from Robson. I met him as a blind date at the Austin Hotel at Davie and Granville and we went out for about three years before getting married, so we weren’t married in this picture. We got married in 1957.
