This is our mother Dora Gour taken in Vancouver. She had been working on a ranch near Ashcroft, BC where she met my father.
The message on the back of the photo:
” As I can’t meet you now, I’ll send you this picture – on the 20th of Nov. I will be your sister-in-law. Would be nice to know you – Dora”

There is a stamped number in the corner “89” – photographer’s reference number?

It doesn’t have anything else to identify the photographer or where it was taken, but at least the message identifies the time as before their wedding on Nov. 20, 1948.

Hopefully someone can figure out the location from the pillars – court house?

      Interesting coincidence, just post some photos of my parents and was going through the catalogue and click on this one of Dora Gour from Ashcroft. My parents moved there just after the War.

      Looks as tho she is standing on the N. side of Seymour St. between Robson and Georgia with the Hudson’s bay building directly behind her.
