My mother, Ruth Victoria Haynes, laboratory technician at Vancouver general Hospital, I believe taken prior to her marriage to my father, Olaf Severin Aasen, later owner of the Brown Betty Cafe at 129 Robson Street. On the back of the photo she has written that she made the hat herself.

This is rather unusual in that it is a close-up. In the back stamp of this photo FONCIE’S PHOTOS is in a larger type size than his address. Would be interested to know if that can help date the photo from known dates when that stamp was in use.
