This image shows Ommund B. Ommundsen on West Hastings Street, likely in the late 1930s. He immigrated from Norway in 1925, was very active in the Vancouver Ski Club, and became president and managing director of the ship chandlery H.A. Borgerson Ltd.at 41 Alexander Street.

At left is the Canada Life Building (built 1910) and to right is the Bank of Commerce Building (built 1908) at the southeast corner of Hastings and Granville. In the distance, across Granville Street, is the MacKinnon Building (built 1897, demolished in the 1950s).
