Bob and Gerry Seeley are heading to the Commodore Ballroom, as it was called in those days, for the Saturday night dance. We probably had a micky of rye in our back pocket. The Commodore charged for mixer, but the ice was free. Drinking was not legal at the Commodore so everyone kept the booze under the table. We danced until 1am, usually we went to China town after for late night food
This picture brings back great memories

We carried on the tradition, at least from ’61- ’64….and Chinese food was the usual finish to the great evening too.
