My grandfather Alec Kennedy (1887-1961) and Sadie were married in Winnipeg in August 1911. Sadie spent her honeymoon on a Survey Party and was the first white woman in northern Manitoba. They returned to Ireland in April 1914 and lived in Belfast, until they permanently emigrated to Winnipeg, Manitoba, in 1921. The Kennedys moved to Vancouver in 1942.
