Twist of Fate
Following WW2 my father and mother, along with three of my father’s brothers, a sister, an uncle and all their families decided to emigrate from England to Australia. There was no ship destined there, so they decided to come to Vancouver instead. Over the next decade all of these people left Canada except my parents. He worked for thirty-five years for B.C. Hydro. One brother returned later and there are two dozen of us here now because of ship scheduling.
