Image share by Catherine MacKenzie

Taken while we lived in Acadia Camp at UBC, where my Dad was a graduate student. Somehow my mother – Inez Mowers MacKenzie – was able to look like a movie star, even though there was almost no money for anything , because she could sew like a pro, while raising two kids in a hut that had concrete floors and almost no heat. I am so very glad I have this to remember her by, and I imagine there are thousands and thousands of families who are thankful that Foncie took up a camera!
