My dad, David Miller, was in the Naval Aircorp stationed at Whidbey Island in Washington State, he came up to Vancouver on leave and met my mum, Dorothy Lipscombe, at the end of the war.
She went down to Hollywood and got married – they split up 9 years later and brought my sister, brother and myself back to Vancouver.
This picture was taken in Vancouver around the end of 1945 or early part of 1946 – they got married in July 1946
Cyn.
Whenever we asked my mum what dad did during the war she said, “Your dad fought the Battle of Whidbey Island”
