My grandmother Robena Fumerton, right, is walking toward the PNE grounds with her niece Isabel Fraser, left. She had flown to Vancouver from Ottawa, likely her only trip by aircraft, for a rare visit with relatives. It may have been the first time in more than 30 years they had seen each other.
