This is a photo of my parents, Russell & Beverly Gerow. They were born & raised in Vancouver and married in 1949. They bought an old house with large lot on Elgin Street for $5,000. It came furnished with oil lamps, brass beds, coal wood stoves, but no furnace. They threw out most of the antique furniture, thinking it was junk!
