This photo was taken in 1947, the year I was born. My parents, Dee & Dusty Ducharme of Seattle, were visiting Vancouver for a weekend. Little did they know that 24 years later, their daughter would marry a Canadian & move to Vancouver. Until only a few years ago I thought this photo was taken in Victoria. Imagine my surprise when I took the photo from its frame and saw Foncie’s name on the back. Although I lived in Vancouver during the last 8 years of Foncie’s career, I never saw him.
