Dad was originally from North Vancouver and showed me this photo of he and my Uncle (in uniform) many years ago. He explained it had been taken by a street photographer. I’m pretty sure he said it was taken on Hastings Street but I can’t be certain. Uncle Jack was on shore leave and I remember Dad saying that something happened and all shore leave was cancelled. I was young and didn’t give it much thought at the time, but recently found the photo again. The date on the back? December 6,1941.
