I was leaving The Bay, where I worked, to rush over to Lion’s Gate Hospital where my wife was giving birth to our first child. Foncie stuck his hand out and gave me a slip. That will be a good memento, I thought. The baby arrived later that day, Monday April 25^th, 1966 – and the picture arrived by post a week later. I have kept this treasured memento of a great day, and a moment in time that only Foncie could have provided.
