Image share by Gary (Gaspare) Marrelli

This photo is taken in the 60s. I am the eldest son of the Angelo Marrelli family who settled in Kitimat in the late 50s. It wasn’t long until I learned to play the guitar, and ended up in Vancouver.

I was probably on my way to play the guitar in the Italian Village on the corner of Robson and Howe Street. The Italian Village was called the IV, an inference also to the young student nurses who used to come there. It could have been a Friday. Where did they go on Fridays – to the IV.
