“My mother and father, Margaret and Roy McDonnell. Mom loved to shop. They didn’t have that much money but she was very thrifty and sewed her own clothes.

It was a long happy marriage of over 50 years. They had two children–me (Gary, born 1942) and my younger brother, Jim. Gary born 1942.

Dad’s suit seems a bit tacky looking–looks like a banker’s suit on banker’s wages. Dad became the CFO for the manufacturing company, Letson & Burpee that was located at Alexander and Main by the old steamship terminal. That four-story building is all condos now.”
