My father, JD or Del Mufford, travelled to Vancouver from Quesnel in 1948. His feet and ankles were damaged in the war after he parachuted from his burning plane. He shopped at Pierre Paris and Sons on Hastings Street for many years to buy the best boots ever. I wonder if that’s what he’s carrying so determinedly, tucked under his elbow.
