left to right: Bea Chan, Mary and Dennis Wong
It’s April, 1946. My mom and dad—Mary and Dennis Wong—are on their honeymoon, and visiting family in Vancouver.
Mom and her older sister, Bea are both accomplished seamstresses. Bea was the proprietor of her own dressmaking studio, located near Smithe and Robson, and Bea and mom fashioned all of their own garments. I think mom looks like a radiant young bride.
