These are my grandparents, Jens and Hedvig. They were immigrants from Denmark. Grandpa came in 1925. He sent for Grandma and their 4 small daughters in 1926. My Mum Else was 10. Grandpa worked for Boyles Bros. My father Hans immigrated from Denmark in 1929 at the age of 17. My parents met in Vancouver through the Danish Brotherhood Association. At first my father worked on farms and in logging camps. He learned carpentry and worked on many construction sites around the Lower Mainland.
