These are my parents, Helen and Ray Tyldesley. My father played the saxophone in the Shriner’s band which was performing at the PNE in August, 1957. My mother attended the concert and then met him afterwards.

Anne Monahan
I was in the Air Force Cadet Pipe Band and we went several summers in the 50’s to the Kelowna Regatta. The Shriners band was very good to the band (all teenagers) paying for us in cafes etc. and playing along with us on many occasions. They were great. Anne Monahan, Pipe Major at that time.
