We were prairie built boys from Coaldale. There were about 8 of us that came out. The first ones joined the seafarers union and they’d got a ship within a few weeks, the Princess Patricia, that runs all around the lower mainland and the west coast. So I did the same. But what did I get on to? The Princess Nora, which sailed to Alaska. So I’d rarely see my buddies here, and when I did see them it was a big occasion.
