Lester Buzzy (I’m not kidding) was a fellow who was stricken with cerebral palsy and couldn’t walk. He got around on this wagon until my father, Basil Henderson, who founded Henderson’s Handicap Association in the late 1950s paid to have a special vehicle built that enabled him to drive at 15 mph around town selling pop, ciggies, chocolate bars, etc. He made a small living doing this and it gave him some self esteem and independence.
