We were like blood sisters because our mothers (Gertrude and Lillian) were sisters and they had married brothers (Jack and Frank).

I’m wearing a Chenille coat in that photo and wearing what were called “spectator shoes.” My trousers were culottes. We were probably going to a show–it looks like we’re up around where the Orpheum is now.

In my youth I lived close to the Principes and Costanzos and became part of that Italian group, including Foncie. I went to all the weddings and social occasions. It was a good time.
