Further to your “Foncie’s Photos” campaign, enclosed is a street photo of my mother and myself taken in 1960, at which time I was 20 years of age. We were strolling down Granville St. one Saturday afternoon, after having had lunch at the Sky Diner, and we slowed down to pose for a street photo. The following week when we purchased a print, Foncie asked if I would consider coming to his studio to pose for a portrait. I was delighted to do so, and he gave me a complimentary 5×7 print of same, and had a framed 8×10 size displayed in his studio’s front window for many months. I was so thrilled! In fact, whenever my friends and I went to “theatre row” to see a movie, I would say: “Let’s go down to Foncie’s studio to see if my portrait is still in his window”.
