This photo was taken on January 10, 1946. On the left is my Uncle Ernie Ford who farmed in Saskatchewan. Right side is my mother, Alice Owen (nee Ford), a Vancouver General Hospital-trained nurse. Mom’s fur collar and jaunty hat were the height of fashion.

I am in the middle, aged 2 years 11 months. My outfit – hat, coat, leggings – was a beautiful cherry red color. How I loved it!
