Jack and Helen Penner were newly married and living in Chilliwack in 1948. Helen met Jack during the War when Jack was in Scotland and came to Canada to marry him in 1948. They used to love to go to Vancouver or New Westminster to shop, see a picture show and have fun for an evening. In this picture they had won a food hamper while out at a show and were caught in the moment by Foncie – a very happy moment for them and a very happy memory for me and my two sisters.
