Phyllis Bentley and Gordon Halsey

The info on the back of the photo includes “57” ,so we think it’s fall or early winter, 1957. We had jut met in September teaching school in North Van. It must have been cold because I’m wearing my heavy tweed coat that I brought with me from Ireland-and he is in a winter coat as well. We are not smiling, we are laughing! We think that may be the result of the photographer asking why Gordon is holding my hand in his overcoat pocket. It also meant we had to walk very closely together.
