This photo of myself (Phyllis Pidcock), my sister-in-law Nancy Pidcock and my son Brian Pidcock was taken in 1949 while my husband, a returned veteran, was attending UBC. I was a warbride from Scotland, new to Canada and living in Vancouver. Nancy who was living in Black Creek was visiting her godson (Brian) and we were out shopping in the “big city”. Brian is still living in Vancouver and is currently Assistant Dean, Computer Science at BCIT. My husband of 68 years, Tom who is 94 and I (89) are living the quiet life in Parksville, B.C..
