My Grandmother (Zoe Genevieve Dunfield, nee Jackson) who is second from the right, strolling downtown with her sisters. She is of the same Jackson family well known for Jackson’s Fine Meats in Kitsilano (forever) as well as Jackson Brothers (the extreme logging family) from the Roberts Creek on the Sunshine Coast. This is actually a sorority reunion, with Marge in from Capetown.

Great Auntie Marge (2nd from the left) was in Vancouver visiting from her home in Capetown, South Africa. We were very young then and she would tell us to lie on our Gran’s bed and close out eyes until she said “Open!” Incredibly we were surrounded by a sea of Lifesavers candy……we thought she was magic and could make them rain down from the pink light bulb that Gran had in her ceiling!!
It was years before we found out the truth.
