September 1957 was my first year in Vancouver at UBC. Both my room mate Bob Bryan and I were from Penticton and a bit overwhelmed with the big city. But every Friday night we would venture downtown to see a movie at the Orpheum, Capitol or Vogue. And get a load of those bell bottom flares!
