This picture of my Dad and me was taken sometime around 1954/5. It is on the east side, of the 500 block Granville St. Looking closely to the right of Dad’s left shoulder one can make out J. Inglis Reid’s famous sign “We hae meat, yae can eat”. There is also a large Bapco paint brush barely visible. Neither of us remembers what the occasion was but I remember the woollen sweater that was knitted by my Mom. Dad also remembers that his jacket was a pale, lime green – which seems very daring for the 1950’s. I’m not sure this is a Foncie photo as the original is backstamped “Totem Photos”
