Mom, Dad and sister Lorraine in downtown Vancouver. Dad worked at Woodward’s and would sometimes meet the family downtown after work for shopping. I remember Woodward’s for their delicious malt drinks! If Dad were alive today, he simply wouldn’t believe that Woodward’s is gone! To him it was more than a retail store… it was an extended family and a component of his lifestyle.

When Woodward’s closed it was a shock to the system. The numbered metal tags for grocery pick-up in the parkade, the malts and the Woodward’s Supreme coffee…all were missed a LOT ! It was a great loss to Vancouver.
