Roswitha Nielsen looks adoringly at her new husband Jorgen Nielsen. They met in Heidelberg and he swept her off her feet in a 3 week whirlwind romance in 1960 that lead to a 63 year marriage. They lived in Kits, paying $75/month at the time while she worked as a UBC librarian to support him training to teach high school English. This photo was handmarked in pencil by Foncie as “62144M” with an X below that, I think to mark it as an “excellent” photo. I’m glad they decided to buy the prints!
