This photo, also taken on Granville Street, is of the Aussie who stayed in Vancouver and married a Canadian, whom he met at one of those ANZA dances held at HMCS Discovery.

I had gone to Oz in Dec. `61 to work and return home via Europe, but wages in Oz, if under 21, were very little. I returned in 6 months only to meet and marry this Aussie. He had come over here in March of `61 to see something of the world. Neither of us would know what our fate was to be.
