In the summer of 1967 I won a hillbilly contest at Guildford Mall sponsored by Mountain Dew. I had to appear at the outdoor theatre at the PNE to be presented with a red Sony transistor Radio. This is a picture of me and my Mother at the PNE on our way to the ourdoor theatre. It looks like I am enjoying a caramel apple. My mom was mortified to bring me all the way on the bus from Surrey dressed like a hillbilly!
